Internal compass

Everyone has an internal compass which orients ourselves any time we need it.
It is something that points the direction we should take when we are lost, this direction almost always has the same orientation because it is based on our experiences, lessons and values.
Sometimes our compass can show us a new orientation inviting us to discover something different, something to what we are not used to and because of that we are afraid, we doubt and we feel insecure, which makes us to distrust about its instructions and, in short, about ourselves.
Very often the direction to follow is clear and there is nothing that makes us to hesitate to know where are we going. Although maybe it is just because we are following our habits and our customs to go by known ways.
But many other times we are not able to see clearly to recognize the paths by which we are invited to walk, maybe because they are unknown and risky for us, or maybe because we have to build these ways.
Then we think that our compass is broken down and it is hard for us to admit that maybe this time the direction to follow is different to the previous ones or that it is just showing to us the different options we have to increase our possibilities.
When we have to choose, we usually go to the known things, to what is usual and we try to avoid everything that supposes to take a risk, justifying ourselves with an endless number of “what if…” that we will not know if they are true until we dare to take the adventure.
Because even if we are aware of this, it will not be easy to convince to our accustomed rational side that this time we have to dare with something new.
