I love this word which means “Absolute, without restrictions or conditions”.

Nowadays, there are just few things that are unconditional, everything we do is expecting something in exchange, and we do not conceive the idea of making a mínimum effort without getting a reward for it.

In the book “A place called destiny” from Javier Iriondo I could read the following: “We do not know what is to be alive until we do something for someone who can not do anything for us”.

Analyzing this statement we can think about a situation in our life in which we have helped to someone, at any way, and without expecting anything on exchange, we have got something so important as the feeling of satisfaction and well-being with ourselves. Because when you do something for someone, at the same time, unconsciously, you are doing something for yourself.

However, it is not easy to give without expecting to get, and because of this our life turns around established conditions which prevent us to appreciate the simple things, which are the most important.

So, taking this to my life, I cannot find anything more unconditional on it, than the love of this person who has always been next to me to support and help me with everything I do, who even when I chose to go far away, accepted my decision and from the distance she is sending to me all her care and her spirit for me to feel her close, meanwhile she is waiting for me to come back and to take care of me as no one else does it. Because she values my life and my well-being more than herself without expecting anything from me.

That is why, in the dictionary of my life, next to the word unconditional, I write her name, because I have the certain that, whatever are the circumstances, I will always have her unconditional love.
